This website is part of US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Bureau of Labor Statistics updates the Occupational Outlook Handbook every two years and it is a career guide for educators to use with their students. I like this website because it is very informational and straight to the point. It would be easy for students to use and explore different career paths. This website is very simple and easy to use but at the same time has a wealth of information. The first thing that a student should do is pick an interest. The categories are reading, law, building and fixing things, math, science, music and arts, sports, helping people, managing money, social studies, nature, and computers. Once students pick an interest, it gives them certain jobs that relate to that topic. For example, in the helping people tab, the jobs are educator, childcare worker, firefighter, registered nurse, social worker and physician. Once the students pick the job that they may be interested it goes on to explain the job in detail. Each job has a tab for a summary, what they do, work environment, how to become one, pay, job outlook, similar occupations, and contacts for more information. These sections have more in depth information about the different career paths. This would be a great way for students to explore their interest and find out useful information at the same time. There is also an A-Z list of different occupations.
